Reinventing nuclear with Transmutex: Energy, waste, and medicine
WiNeXpresso with Dr. Vasudha Verma, Head, Transmutation Reactor Unit
Vasudha Verma leads the Transmutation Reactor Unit at Transmutex, bringing over a decade of expertise in modelling and simulation of nuclear reactor systems. Before joining Transmutex, she held research positions at institutions such as the Paul Scherrer Institute and the French Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), where her work focused on reactor core diagnostics, neutron noise analysis, and core design studies for sodium-cooled fast reactors and light water reactors. Vasudha has contributed to EU Horizon-2020 and Swedish research Council projects, developing advanced multi-physics methodologies for reactor core analysis, and machine learning techniques for anomaly detection in reactor systems. She holds a PhD in Applied Nuclear Physics from Uppsala University and has a background in teaching nuclear science and technology.
